Death Maze Maps (Excerpt from The Handbook for the Recently Deceased)

Every time you enter the maze (or any level thereof) three things are randomized:  Which maze you're in, your starting point and the exit location.  If you can figure out which maze you're in and where you are in that maze, you can at least avoid a lot of needless retracing of steps.  Though the room descriptions never change, by using exits and noting patterns it becomes pretty simple to determine your exact location within just a few rooms.  For example, each map only has one room with exits in all four cardinal directions, and the outcome of leaving that room to the east provides an immediate point of reference.

This is pretty useless to those who prefer the faster method of buying out or who have scripts for solving, but hey, I like maps.

Yeah, impressive.  The tip about the reference room is good too.

Great maps, like how you used the row/column widths to delineate rooms.

Very nice Lyle.   Shocked

Makes me think about doing something like this for the rest of the maps of the world as well.

I still have the ones I drew out in pencil on graph paper when I went through that stage of dying every 5 minutes... fun times Smiley
